Delaying with stacked barrier magic and countering fire with water. Good tactics, except for the part about your magic not being anywhere near strong enough and the fire magic quite possibly producing enough heat to evaporate the water magic before it reaches it. Better luck next time...once you've gathered enough cannon fodder for the next attempt that is.

I don't get the tone the author is trying to go for. We had that over the top massacre at the town, and this is supposed to be a serious battle, but then we get slapstick comedy with the loli? Why?
