I like how they throw around "battle junkie" as if it's a real thing; people who desire constant combat do exist, mind you... but they only exist... briefly.

Sooner, rather than later, some old man with a stick bonks them, or a kid with a knife finds them in their sleep and solves their stupidity for the rest of us... though if they are a king, they often get poisoned.

The anime adaptation's opening theme song is somehow related to Kelvin's mind related condition (sick in the head, which is his battle junkie condition).
I am reading this a couple of years after the anime was first broadcasted, and I have to say, the anime was a wasted opportunity as the Kelvin in the anime is almost too normal mentally.

This whole battle junkie angle is really cringe, and the faces he makes are really stupid and cr ingy. Why would you worry about fighting some guy when there's a literal demon lord trying to take over the country? It makes no sense and is a waste of time. Its a good story and could be better without the cringy battle junkie angle.
