I like to think that Jeral wasn't aiming at the secret boss monster, or even paying attention to it at all. He only unleashed that blast because of the disturbing news.

Hmmm yes I see, trisen huh? I totally don’t need to go and reread stuff because I can’t remember anything about this.

Every time I give this series a rest for six to eight months so I can read more than one or two chapters in a row, I need to quickly scan through a bunch first to remind myself wtf is going on and who everyone is, and then read everything from where I no longer remember what comes next. Having been reading it since the first dozen chapters, it means I've read most of the series at least five or six times now.

This time, I had to read nearly everything following the assassination attempt and I've still got two years worth of chapters to go before I catch up again. If this series doesn't wrap up soon, I might have to drop it until it finishes because this is getting ridiculous.

So far, only one villain and the demon lord have been defeated.

It makes me wonder how people got through titles like Gintama (704 ch.), Bleach (686 ch.), Ranma 1/2 (407 ch.) and One Piece (23 years, 187 ch. and still going).
