I can’t stress enough to those who haven’t read the LN’s just how good this story is. Where season one of the anime leaves off is simply the tip of the iceberg. To be honest the ACTUAL story opens up right after the events of season 1 and man o man it’s going to drop quite a few jaws. For those interested both you tube and audible have the audiobooks. Go listen!
I've been listening to the audiobooks over the last two weeks. There were a few changes here and there, but oh boy.
SPOILERS!
Volume 4 has some huge differences, most noticeably when Sara gives Kelvin her present. In the manga they get interrupted before anything goes anywhere past that awkward naked hug. In the LN kelvin interrupts her before she can confess with his own confession, tries to kiss her, and gets cock blocked by a blessing that her dad put on her that creates a shield from any outside advances. However Sara basically says fuck that, and kisses Kelvin herself, before telling Kelvin to take her, which he does. It then cuts to the next morning where Kelvin starts panicking because he realizes he basically cheated on Efil. Turns out she's been waiting outside the door since morning as not to disturb them, and not only is she not mad but tells him that she's been holding back. They then have a threesome! lmao
Basically, I agree everybody should read the novels and just enjoy the manga as a way to see all the characters. I haven't yet caught up with where the manga's at, but so far I feel like the pacing and detail about situations is a lot better. I wonder why so much is different in the manga? Especially the situation with Sara. Manga Kelvin Slept with Efil in the same way as the LN so I don't get why they'd change future romantic encounters. A lot of the other changes I noticed don't make much sense either. It's like it was changed just for the sake of changing it.
