Ayo, the moment Mona stopped being as aggressive with her advances, she instantly began with the critical hits to Medaka. She even got the man to blush AND noticed it.

These last coupla chapters have truly been a return to form for the manga. The author really managed to ascend after taking the nosedive in quality between the amusement park and the pageant.

Many of us do think Medaka isn't fully fleshed out and that's true, but we must remember, MONA is the MC here. Not only that, Medaka is purposefully keeping his life as a monk a secret from his friends; he's already a pretty socially awkward import from the boonies, so he doesn't need to lose any additional social credit.

True, but at least let's the reader know about the main character's love interest. After 83 chapters, we know jack about him except he is in training to become a monk.

This is the thing, that irks me the most in this series. That it completely relies on that one misunderstanding (lack of information). It doesn't look like he's required to keep it secret. And I know MC doesn't see himself as a subject of anyone's attention, but still.

You know, I am kinda concerned when she inevitably learns that he wants to be a monk and that the main reason he was very hesitant or even cold towards her was because of his "training". Like, the whole reason she found him sorta "fascinating" was cuz he was not fawning all over her like the other guys, and to learn that he acted a certain way cuz of that might "break the magic", especially since he was still somewhat fawning over her, but his "training" gave him self-control.

It is totally different for Nanba and Asahi, which fell for the dude for his attitude and personality. Mona basically fell for him due to pride, so I do wonder how the author will handle that. Something that I also wish that author did was to develop Medaka more. Like others have said, we know literally nothing about Medaka, besides the monk thing. Heck, this is the first time we've heard that he has no mother, and that is still quite vague(is she dead? Did she abandoned him?). At least give us some backstory bro, as least let us know why he wants to be a monk lol
