I pray for the day when manga artists will get the ability to draw the FMC who's supposed to be prettier than other characters, actually prettier than other characters.
Rarely in rom-com do you get an artist who understands this. Mona's whole shtick is that she's prettier than everyone. To me, she is on the same level as Asahi, her best friend, and Tomo. So this part really just doesn't make sense to me.
The manga is just saying to me "Oh she is definitely prettier than everyone dattebayo!" but that's not what I am seeing. Stop making side characters pretty. That defeats the whole point of characters who are lauded for their looks.
