  • Crunchyroll replacing translators with AI. The takeover is happening. Where are all the "nothing ever happens" people now huh?

Yeah, not really looking great for the future of CR. Makes me even more irritated with their purchase of Funimation.

lmao, would be interesting to see. Probably just stilted dialogue but at least none of the retarded rewriting by the translator.

I would take slight rewriting over AI translations, at least when they do small rewritings they can make it make sense in context. Ai translations will probably take the personality and vibe I guess outa the dialogue, or just make it a mess, depends on how much oversight there is

The twitter account of Project A.I. was updated and become the official account of the company.
On 8 May, it was announced that Love-chan and Aipii will no longer be part of the main cast of the A.I. Channel. Separate twitter accounts and an independent YouTube channel (called love-pii channel) were created for them
I don't understand why adding extraneous jokes that were never in the manga or purposefully mistranslating something is allowed in here. There is like a mountain of rules, surely it has to be breaking one of them right?

I read one chapter of the two example and I think it's a case where the story is just too much of a wildwest fuckfest that the group thinks they can get away with being goofy.

In case of that, I think they can, actually. But since you - a reader who's consuming their product - felt annoyed, they probably overdid it and can be held accountable, not the problem about "can" or "can not."

@Luoir It's not a matter of if the reader is annoyed or not. Just like how changing the art of the manga by adding extra details is not allowed except for when you're redrawing (even then it's kept to a limit), changing the original text also falls in the same category, yet it's not treated in the same way.

You should read the other chapters of the second manga. The dude just keeps increasing the jokes and it's not even used in a meaningful way, he just throws it around. The scanlator also confirmed that he's doing this on purpose so he can annoy the readers. How is that not against the rules is beyond me
I'm so tired of reading ass manga. Nowadays, if it isn't Jump, it's always somehow ass. I literally can't stand fantasy, I'm having a serious burnout. On the flipside, I'm really enjoying reading novels, COTE and Chiramune being two of them.

You should try other magazine then. it is fun to find new one, might as well go to monthly ones instead of weekly

@pandascepter I am reading lots of magazine tho. A lot of them monthly. The problem is that all the good ones, I'm caught up with. Now all that's left is the same generic rom-com or fantasy isekai. It's all so tiring.

I know you damn pain. It's hard to look for decent manga after you reading a pile or two, especially good action one so hard to find nowadays. The best one is monthly or weekly. There's Sometimes you just find some good manga in this site and no body translate the rest and left hanging just like that:shamihuh:
Chiramune v2 finished. Oh. my. God. It pulled a COTE on me. It was a 5/10 for like 93% of the story, and the 7% was 8.5/10
I understand the hype behind this now.

If you are going to be reading this, you have to turn your brain off and speed through the first half of the story because it starts out so slow. The second half, you should read in normal speed but keep in mind that there is not much info you need to look out for but all the unnecessary crap will start making sense by the end. When I got near the end I finally started enjoying this actually.

Although I do hope that v3 won't be like this. I want it to be good from the start. Saku Chitose is literally me.
Chiramune v1 finished. 6/10 MC carried. I love narcissist protagonists who are not evil. They are my soul animal. The normie restoration arc is boring. I hope v2 will not disappoint.
It's crazy to think there are two major anime/manga listing website, AniList and MyAnimeList. And I am permanently banned from both.

AniList not being an unfunctional garbage website like MAL, let's me use the website normally despite being perma banned, like how it should be.
