Does this mean they’re all gonna turn into sleepy, technologically unlucky, half-cat people? Or does it mean they’re all going to be eternally sleeping cats? Or is it just gonna randomize one curse for each of them again? 🤔

I’m assuming #1 since it would be the only REAL improvement, but #2 would be kinda okay in its own way, though very bittersweet and not exactly my fav.

How do you even split the sleep curse, do you like fall asleep 1/3 of the day just like a normal person?
What about kuromori and shirayuki's mom curse then?

@versub The curse isnt to sleep a full day, it is to sleep an incrementing amount of time each time you use magic, the final (as in, the one that was longer than is manageable) being longer than a lifetime (as they said noone has ever woken). Splitting it would mean that the time splits likely yeah, but it would still be ridiculously long, and I assume mean all of them fall asleep if any one of them uses magic?

As for cat curse, I guess they all become nekomimis at first. This one seem to progress without using magic, so I assume it means that after thrice the timespan, all three are fully cats?

The machine curse is simple. Like cat curse it is in effect even without using magic, but it seems to be a constant field of effect, and not something that progresses. Meaning it would merely be a third as strong. The radius should be a third, but I am unsure if the "doesnt work" is binary, or dependent on strength of the field.

All of this crap can be fixed with a simple visit to Touma or Asta.
This had potential; the technology vs magic reminded me a lot of Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. Really should have focused more on world-building for a stronger foundation. Oh well. Enjoy being napping cats that emit e.m.p.’s, or whatever they hell the ‘solution’ is.

@feha, i'm pretty sure the Sleep Curse actually does work in daily basis. I mean, at one point Shirayuki still only sleeps almost whole day, and suddenly the next sleep it's for eternity? That could only possible if the curse work in daily basis. Every time a day is reset, so does the duration of the curse, resulting in an endless sleep.

Just like how the Cat Curse doesn't work by transforming the recipient into Cat fully at times with increasing duration and intervals, but by slowly turning them into Cat permanently, i think the Sleep Curse's true form is that it slowly transform their victims into "Sleeping Princess" permanently.
