But I don't think my dad and I ever had a problem petting stray cats.
And my dad is huge.

I think the theories presented here are a bit over the top.
Or maybe it's because I grew up in an area where there were a lot of stray cats roaming around,

it's a thing in other cats. i think that being bigger or having a deeper voice or heavier footsteps or just looking a bit different can be enough to freak some cats out depending on their personality and how they've been socialized.

nope, I got her when she was really small from a friend's cat who gave birth, and she's been an indoor cat since, with no incidents

tbf though it's not like she's incredibly friendly with girl strangers, she just doesn't run away and hide like she does with guys

My cat is sensitive to people other than us too it's not just the cats that live outside.

And your PC crashed 57 TIMES??? Something's eating up your RAM for sure or your RAM is just not enough for the things you do/your operating system. Or there is a problem with your PC I just don't know. I can't imagine the files corrupting

Well, I understand if they are pet cats, like you raised them from since they were kittens, so they are only used to several set of people, and more wary to the other.
But stray cats?
Never had that problem, really.
Give em treats and they'll get used to pretty quickly.
Definitely less than a week.

That said, 5 years in Japan, I think I've only see stray cats like 3-4 times here.
Definitely not as many as depicted in manga and anime.
At least in my area.
Lots of dressed up dogs in strollers, tho

Might depend on the area you live in but cat island aside i think there are some JP yters who exclusively post vids of cats approaching them lol

I got reminded about this series' existence yesterday with the posting of Chapter 3's discussion on Reddit, and finally decided to read it; I've been curious about this manga for a while ever since I saw the volume cover. Thank goodness I did; this is awesome! Now I'm all caught up. Hope you can fix your PC :D

The visual gags in this chapter were great. Kitaooji and Kurone switching into different attires every few panels was amazing: I want Kurone lessons to be a recurring thing. Not to mention how the cats were somehow given more personality then most human characters get in other manga. If this manga doesn't get into MyAnimeList's You Should Read This Manga 2026, I'm going to be fuming.

It just dawned on me that, despite Kitaooji's extroversion, Kurone is Kitaooji's only friend. Kitaooji is probably the only friend Kurone has, too. Both of them have a lot to gain from this friendship. So far, we've mostly seen Kitaooji learning from Kurone to relax and be himself; I wonder when we'll see Kurone learning from Kitaooji. Does she have trouble socializing with other people? I mean, yes, but I wonder if she'll want to socialize with other people.

Finally, which cat is your favorite so far? I like Tama-chan.
