It's sometimes distressing to see nobles or kings in full plate armor all the time. I mean, it's clean and nicely polished, but it's still a little bit much for everyday wear. If only for the weight.

Aye. Nine isn't actually that far from a talented, experienced person with zero motivation and thus very low efficiency. Nine isn't lacking motivation, but he was forced to perform worlds below his real ability, so the end result isn't that different. Both cases could be called incompetent from an outsider's point of view.
