This image from a work being sold on Melonbooks is the cover of a volume, but as the まとめ "matome" (compilation) in the title says, it's for a compilation of the author's various textless illustrations of Kuro, of which there are several on the artist's Pixiv
(just look for 黒猫ちゃんまとめ).

It is tempting to use this image as the cover, but because it's not really a cover for the web comic itself (which does not use this), I think it will just be removed.

This same situation happened to Mitame Jirai-kei Osananajimi where the cover for a related illustration compilation from Melonbooks got removed because it isn't exactly the cover of the web comic itself.

There are actually site rules governing covers:

I think this case falls under 2.3.3.3 - meaning, we cannot use a random illustration of the main character as the cover and neither can we also use the cover of a related but non-manga work for the manga (e.g. LN covers are also not allowed to substitute for manga covers)

Even if the current cover is very cute, and the cover you linked looks official, both are not allowed going by the site rules.

Honestly refreshing to not have the cat magically know English Japanese right off the bat. Plus it can be fun to have her speak sort of stiltedly as she learns. (Hopefully the author doesn't pull a "Oh, but she can talk, she just didn't want to," though.)
