Aww, the short-haired girl felt a heart prick when she agreed to give support (chiku sound effect). It is always painful seeing this situation never turn out well for the supportive friend. Good for her for getting chosen.
It feels like the chapter might've gotten misinterpreted since "先輩" got translated to "a senior" rather than referring to a separate person "Senpai" (the person the light-haired girl was in love with) and the original title 相談役が選ばれる百合 (soudanyaku ga erabareru yuri) "Choosing the Consultant Yuri" got changed to "Choosing a Senior".
