It always throws me off how strict Japanese schools are in these sorts of things. (Which is presumably based on real life?) Like, "no make-up" just seems needlessly controlling. A lot of manga even has the school have rules against stuff like part-time jobs, driving, staying out late, &c.

Like, I guess it's just a cultural difference, but sometimes it just seems pointlessly strict.

The funny thing about comments is that she tried to be nice until she snapped because her "friends" had no qualms about being mean to her, there was that girl that left because the boys were paying attention to her and then all of this with the makeup.

All this said to her is she can be honest about things and people wont ostracise her, its even more funny as the makeup girl tried to do that to her and because she told what she was thinking the other 2 girls decided to stay with her, there is no reason to be nice to someone that kicking you.

The reason people are "nice" is because of society, we are a group however this is very relative as people can and some certainly are complete assholes to people that are under them in the hierarchy but not to people that within their own or above level and nobody will complain about it because thats how humans are.

Also she is honest, this manga attracted a lot of (let me not use this word because "we live in a society") because they think the MC is "literally me", as far I seen she done nothing particular wrong because there is no actual intent of hurting then, no falsehood either so what is exactly the problem?

Let's not be silly, if something like this was enough to explain people going "bad" I would be surprised at the fact humanity still survives, cause we'd all be psychopaths.

I sincerely hope the author has something more in store for us. Some sort of huge betrayal she suffered or something. Because this part 1 flashback is not enough to "justify" her, it just makes her look bad...

instead of, you know, cutting them off and trying to make new friendships, no. Become just as bad as them in response to how they treat you. So much for looking up to a kind girl and trying to be like her. The fact that she kept that behavior up as she got older and didn't even consider TRYING to change herself just makes me hate her more, she's a certified bitch

Not even as bad she's way worse.
This is a primary school girl who got in trouble and thought their friend did it on purpose and said I'm not going to be friends with you anymore.
Childish, sure, but her response was to call her ugly and imply because of that she deserved to get in trouble and then manipulated her friends to stop their friendship and coarse them into saying she's ugly too. That's 20x worse than a childish response to getting into trouble.
This girl obviously doesn't want to be like the idol because she looks up to her being kind, she wants to emulate her to get her positive attention.

The fat girl blaming her unjustly and trying to manipulate two of her friends into not being friends with her anymore is objectively and inarguably worse than what she did to the MC.

Why did the author make the fat girl more of a snake than his snake character?
