I got no clue why this comment section has such a huge hate boner for this girl. she pulled one practical joke that every middle schooler has done before its not that deep.
Wait, what? One pratical joke, really?
Every new piece of information on her it's more backstory on how she thinks the regular way to people act is manipulating and treating others like shit.
I mean, she can get better but mostly because I believe most people can get better. But at the moment? She have a really distorted way of life.

Ok that answered my question from last time. Since they didnt go over her and mc in middle school its basically confirmed she didnt give a single shit about him. I hope the author doenst try to pull smth out of his ass and give her a redemption arc
I think she will get one, but not one like:
"she was trying to be good" or "she in fact liked the MC" but more like "she gradually gets better as a person"

I can understand why she's so snake-like. Having you're entire worldview shattered as a facade can change a person so seeing the embodiment of what she tried to be in a near replica of her idol would make her have her doubts.

There's a reason why I like her so much as the antagonist, simply because you have no idea what going on with her, she's 2 steps ahead playing everyone for her own sick kicks and I enjoy that dynamic of her character. You don't know if she is genuine or not.
Yeah, sure...
But she was like that before discovering about the idol being fake, maybe she became worse and without regrets, but that's it.

Thinking better and adding with I said before.
I really believe almost everyone can get better as a person. People having bad behavior, it's not something black and white.
We can see that for most of her life she kind of feels guilty for being like that, but for some reason she has a hard time not being like that.
Generally speaking, this represents some sort of psychological or psychiatric issue (maybe both). The kind of stuff that could be avoided with treatment, but we all know that therapy don't exist in fiction and thus, we will depend on the protagonists to do this job.
(There was a dorama with an antagonist that was horrible, in the end she tried to have a psychiatric treatment... At the USA. After that we always joke that any dorama character that needs therapy will go to the USA because there is none in South Korea)

Trying to say and do mean, horrible things to a person to prove how evil and dark-hearted they really are instead of being a legitimately good person with maybe one or two flaws that doesn't make them perfect, much like everyone else is?

It's kind of really creepy how that reflects so well with today's politics, and it's not even in Japan that this chapter's reflecting on.

I don't think she should win but she is a far more interesting character than I was expecting her to be
Every good story filled with conflict and turmoil needs a good villain to drive that conflict and turmoil. Snake-bitch is infinitely the most interesting character in this manga because of the effect she has on the MC and how playful she is with those effects. I don't have to like her as a person. I just need her to be the thing I hiss or boot at whenever she pops up.
