Hmm... I'm not sure Utsumi is teaching those skills to her. I thought he was just teaching her how the company works, how the processes work inside the company, and then of course technical stuff needed in her practical work. I reckon he did teach her, indirectly, the positive kind of confrontational mindset, so that she doesn't simply swallow everything but tries to reason with others and explain her point of view. We do know in the past she was always just reading the atmosphere and adjusting to the other people's moods, never arguing with them.

Well, I guess that means he is teaching by example.
