This Manga is going on a direction that definitely surprised most people, but I'm loving the way the author has made Makino an actual consistent character.

She doesn't instantly know what to do when Maron has reached that point, but she also hasn't even sorted out her own feelings yet. Just a few chapters before she noticed that she was more interested in the "Office Maron" aka the more realistic and casual Maron(in her point of view)

A lesser author would've just made Makino find solutions that work instantly and would content most people, but instead it is made very clear that as much as Makino cares about Maron, she isn't perfect, like the fact that it still took some time to actually learn and pass the test. All her attempts may sound petty because, well, that's exactly the kind of character that even considered going to bed with a random person so Maron could rest.

Overall I understand a lot of people might be worried about Maron / not too happy about Makino's decisions currently, but they are very consistent with the actual character that was written, and I look forward to see the development of Makino and Maron as each of them figure out their lives (both individually and together)

This is so nerve wrecking, she is clearly a person who urgently requires REAL professional medical help.

Damn you Japan and your stupid social taboo for seeking mental health help.
If only that was the sole problem japan had.. they truly produce fantastic media but, it would be hell living in their country

yeah you're right my bad, it's just I get anxious watching suicide themes in manga.
Fair, I wonder why it's even brought up at all, like if they're not going to handle it correctly. Probably needed to end the manga (maybe due to being axed or the author doesn't have the time anymore).

Your guess is likely correct, author probably wanted to add easy and quick drama, this does feel like they are rushing towards an ending.

Bro it's a lighthearted yuri romcom manga you're expecting too much lol
Define lighthearted when the manga is dealing with Suicide thoughts and nearly have a suicide attempt. I know drama mangas that don't go that far.

Honestly adding in something like depression/suicide or sexual assault for cheap drama is such a shit move. For as much as I like SAO why were there 3 seperate rape scenes?

It's not like they have no reputation on suicide.
Having a forest somehow now designed for anyone wants to end their lives is interesting enough.
