I can see the flow the author wanted as its pretty good:
Tries to stick to the script, but then forced to deviate from the script as something doesn't go to plan, the tries to get things back on track by saying the most Chunni shit imaginable, his Waifu is suddenly intrigued and interested in him and now he has to keep up the act when ever in her presence - which she does a lot.
resulting him having to act like Cid in Shadow Mode in her presence from then on out. And It would be a great set up: the hilarity of being able to regularly interact with your celebrity crush and help them out but every time you meet them you have to act like the edgiest middleschool edgelord; Cid believes the shit he's spewing and thinks it s the peak of cool, our MMC knows better but still has to keep acting the part even as he dies inside.

The issue is this whole "Noble Gooner Party in the Capitol" arc is an utter fucking mess and the author lacked the narrative ability to set that up appropriately so it looks like he just goes full cringelord for no reason instead of being forced by the narrative jumping the tracks to throw a chuuni Hail Mary.

also he cringes at Enrique while he also tried to be the scum yet mysterious character on the Heroine ... this is one of those series that you just have to turn your brain off fully and enjoy the funnies and fan service (in essence manga wants to be Eminence of Shadow, Cid is funnier though)

Cid believes his shit, Scumultros knows better, and the author isn't doing a good job of managing the set up so Scumultros has no choice but to be a chunnilord.

author seems like he's trying to copy the Protag from an Isekai which title escapes me where the protagonist has to to return to the world he Isekai'd to when he was 13 and became the ruler-in-the-shadows, and now has to deal with all the stuff he thought was absolutely Peak Cool when he was in middle school but now knows is cringe (but deep down clearly still finds it cool). Its absolutely wonderful because the narrative forces him in his 20s to act like his 13 year old edgelord and give the cringiest edgey manga speeches; there is a reason he has to go through the constant humiliation of reliving his junior high poetry and self-insert fanfic.
But this one isn't pulling it off because there is no reason for him to be a dark and mysterious edge lord for his in-game crush.

Dude, its a well written gag not a blatant plothole 😭
He clowns on somebody for something he literally JUST did which makes the audience go "But you just did that!!" adding nuance to the protag's personality and a little humor (since hes so unaware or snobby even that he cant notice his own flaws yet hes rude enough to make fun of other's flaws, as if they're not in him, making him sound like a total brat which gives him character lmao)
What i'm saying is the manga definitely isnt a manga you turn your brain off to enjoy its more so a manga that doesnt explain it's jokes and dialogue becuase they expect their audience to be smart enough to understand it. Please dont undermine the author's good writing!!!

so aside from being suggestive....what exactly makes this world he's in that of an 18+ game....? There has really been nothing at all that would make anybody believe it was a nsfw game world, but because he keeps constantly saying it we're all supposed to accept that. It feels like the author doesn't really know what to do with that aspect of the plot, I'd say its best to just remedy it and get rid of the 18+ idea or actually lean into it, this limbo is just odd lmao. Because I still refuse to believe the main heroine, who is very pure and has a strong sense of justice, exists in an 18+ game haha

It should be clear for who paid attention. He want to stay on the track in order to be able to foresee the future events, but at the same time he is trying to give another twist to his character to not replicate exactly everything that will lead to his murder.
Basically he want to play a scum, but a scum that is mysterious and interesting. Not only despicable.
