This looks like a frame from a 50s-60s Hollywood movie traced, or rather, "mangaified" with the use of AI.
But also if you look at the dithering patterns elsewhere in the image, they look equally as smudgy. The other upload was of lower resolution, so it could be that the uploader used like a Waifu2x or similar to upscale the low-res raws, and so the whole AI look is a consequence of that. The frame doesn't look nowhere near as suspicious in the other upload

Also, I get why Hinata wants to hang out with Kanako, but I don't understand the opposite.

If Kanako thinks that Hinata keeps stealing her men out of spite, why does she keep hanging out with her? I get that Kanako doesn't have that many friends, but being alone is better than being with someone who is deliberately trying to hurt you.
