well google says castella is 'sponge cake' which maybe means they're not supposed to be too crispy/crunchy (or just taste plain without some kinda topping or go with a side/coffee)? tho might depend on your palette, but other than it being a 'luxury' or something super hard to make, i'd simply just buy my own or so afterwards

In Japan the castella tips are usually dried or re-baked and sold as a sort of biscuit. That's why Kame can eat them like that.

i mean it's just more for fun, they weren't trying to do 'nice' photos for a competition or anything, plus they're teens, i'd be bummed out more over losing a nice camera/phone than just some disposable thing you can get at a dollar store/their equivalent to walmart

i mean this whole thing is about fashion and cutesy thing and you could argue that makeup/dressing up nicely has no value compared to exercising/taking care of your skin lol
