I'd assume something that if he picked Kaede would deny the childhood friend allegations, like "Someone you've never spoken to" or "Someone you met in middle school".

Yeah, I feel the same: "someone you're not close to" or something like that, where if he did pick Kaede she'd have been insulted after finding it out.

I don't think it's as simple as "blonde hair" because Kaede would have wanted to be picked anyway in that case.
