It made sense it in the first 1-2 chapters for them to just coincidentally not see each other, but this is ridiculous. It’s not like this manga would be weakened by them being able to see each other— Telework Yotabanashi is a 10/10 example of that (def recommend if you don’t want any BS).

I’m not familiar with Japanese culture, but if they’re literally cooking food together, there’s no logical reason for them not to see each other besides the probably underwhelming “Oh, you’re the actress on TV!” reveal for the male MC.

I agree with everyone so far, the divided neighbors thing is getting old. You wouldn't be friendly enough to buy someone a gift but refuse to meet them for a meal or a beer.

But it looks like this is going to be the running bit for a while even if it makes no sense.

Based on the raw titles, it seems like they meet in chapter 11. And the thumbnails for the raws show them together in chapter 16. I haven't read the raws so forgive me if this info is incorrect.

This is hinted by the Volume 2 cover art as well. They now look at each other instead of look away

Its like an slice of life uncanny valley of sociopaths and personal space, I like the story if I make a good mental work to reject how weird 2 normal adults never ask about their funtional jobs and never want to see face to face (normies never do that also introvert cant, just people with chronical anxiety or dubious jobs)

Uh, the guy literally told her about his work a few chapters ago, and she has to keep her work under wraps due to possible publicity, what the heck are you talking about?

While I agree that the interaction between the divider will get old eventually, we're only 8 chapters in, and they're relatively short at that. This is obviously a relatively slow burn slice of life romance, leave the dorks be to process things through. Like seriously, people are so impatient, and you guys are forgetting as I already stated that she has to keep her job and identity hidden. Kinda hard to interact with your neighbor when you aren't even supposed to be going out without reason.

for passing small stuff over or under the division is okay but shouldn't they pass raw food face?
loving the relaxing pace this has but seriously, it's not normal to hand out 6(Six!) entire squids over a veranda division, especially if they were still in those styrofoam boxes
