knowing the fact that plants are alive always gives me the creeps. how the hell do they do "alive" stuff? creeps me out ugh
I mean they're not "alive" in the same way you'd generally think about animals and stuff, but they eat, breathe, move (a little), reproduce and more.
They're made of cells just like you and me, and that's basically enough to meet the definition of alive. Bacteria also fit this definition, it's not a very strict one.
And they do "alive stuff" in the same way we do, through cellular processes and chemical interactions. It just looks different because they have an entirely different ecological niche than we do.
