Yeah fuck, no kidding, they straight up death flagged Shiratori in the last chapter, but now it's "Oops actually they didn't kill that guy. They all lived happily ever after." I liked the ending, but clearly not what I was expecting when I first started TLing the series.

I don’t get the ending. In chapter 8 yukiko is 42 years old based on her id card and I guess it’s the body that was found in chapter 10 , but then in chapter 10 the translation said 18 year old body found. Also worked at this inn during her lifetime seems to imply she should be old not 18.

Oversight on my part, her ID in chapter 8 says she was born in "57 Showa" as in the 57th year of Emperor Showa's reign, which translates to 1982 in the Gregorian calender. It's been changed.
