Wait so last chapter we saw that she know him since he was a kid but this chapter it seems like she doesn't remember him. Was her memory erased?

Maybe it's because she knew him since he was a kid? And the person who woke up and claimed amnesia is very different from the person she knew?

He didn't steal her powers, he just over protected her which in turn made her weaker... like, certain moments of her suffering was meant to make her stronger.... but he (with good intentions) protected her from those bad moments and only later learned it actually sabotaged her.

My real issue with that series is that the author could easily have just made them a couple but doesn't for no real reason.

Like, the series is so focused on him and her wanting to support each other that it'd be better if they were a couple... but author wants to drag out romance for no real reason...

The only real problem with the story is author dragging out romance for no reason other than wanting to only have it at the end...

Why are Gates appearing so frequently near MC? It feels so forced

A number of people have addressed that issue. However, you might be the first one to call it forced. Instead, it's more logical to think it happens for a reason. The demons talk about some prophecy surrounding him, so surely the MC dude is important. It would make sense to assume it's his influence alone that causes the gates to appear wherever he happens to be. The strange thing is that Takeru himself thinks nothing of it. It's perhaps because he's so used to bad things happening to him that he pays no attention whatsoever to something most people would find catastrophic.
