Here is another group of morons that is terrible at keeping their private talks "private" (Why are you NOT checking for hiding places. Why are you facing AWAY FROM THE DOOR?)
And I haven't even started on why is there a random fancy sofa facing towards the inside of the mansion sitting at the balcony. (Seriously. Balconies are for you to look out.)
Lastly. The girl is way too fkin short while hiding. (Judging by the way the legs are drawn, her head is between the legs of the person standing on the right. This meant that HER legs should be in plain sight.)
Awhh they were holding hands! Yes I am desperate to latch onto this romance lol. Anyway, thrilled to see our girl coming into her own and really becoming that badass we all know she is. I'm all for some more character development and maybeee some romance later 😏
@missmercurial: Yeah, felt like magic at that moment.
That said it's said the queen of Babel (the person who demanded release of Ebony from the defeated Kalcass) transcended the limit of humanity so there's room for that reveal.
Could be like another series
Ascendance of Bookworm
Where magic is kinda mentioned as a passing thing early on, but the become relevant due to MC's conditions and events piling up resulting in her learning more and more about magic as she (usually not by her intention, but still kind of a result of her actions anyway) get dragged into the fate of the country.
Although magic is a staple of such stories, it seemed a sudden addition.
I laughed at Ebony hiding below there, with how thick her dress layers are I'm surprised she could fit in that gap without getting spotted.
