Euclase was always the reasonable one of the Earth gems so I'm really interested to see this meeting. I wonder if Phos remembers their conversation after the first gem fight.

Phos steps down onto the ground, with their fellow gems scattered on the grass. What do they say? GOOD MORNING AHAAHAAA.

The big issue is existence is pain for lunarians. They do things to distract themselves but at the end they just want to die. The only way to die is if sensei prays. No attacks may have made the gems happy but the cost is the lunarian's chances at peace.

You see i disagree on one point. That the lunarians need adamant to pray to move on. I honestly think they dont but they are so fixated on getting adamant to pray that they remain. They are willing to end not just their existence but that of all the other human-based lifeforms (gems, admirabills) to do so. As see with Shiro and the board game they both became nothingness by letting go of their earthly attachments (that both had to do with adamant). The lunarians know this too since they have shown that they have been spying on all the gems for a long time (they even knew what ventricosus told phos in the sea over 102 years ago). The reason why they havent is because.........well......they either are unable to do so or Aechmea convinced them that adamant is the only way. The lunarians never seemed to pursue self-reflection and aim to let go of their earthly attachments just spread their discord and pain to the other aspects of humanity (enslaving the admirabills, attacking the gems physically, mentally, and psychologically ) to get adamant to pray. This embroiled the 3 parts into eternal conflict with adamant unable to resolve it due to unknown restrictions. Adamant apparently cant pray just the lunarians away or that would have solved the issues millennia ago.

As seen in the 220 years that the lunarians didn't attack the gems the gem society fixed most of their issues on their own. Cinnabar is fully included for the first time in centuries, bortz cares more about jellyfish farming than fighting and is more emotionally receptive (see their interaction with cinnabar in 86). The gems even brought out padparacha for adamants "birthday" and the last time pad came down during the night raid before they destroyed 5 of them and was terrifying. I am willing to bet that if the lunarians didnt attack the gems then even phos would be better off (have different issues but overall better).

Good.

And Dia's stupid bow is gone!

What sucks most about this manga is the black and white. I can't tell the characters apart, especially since the length of their hair changes too. Plus the gems would be so pretty in color. The black and white has neat high-contrast effect, but it's at the expense of knowing what's going on.

Well, she is technically still the hope of all. The hope of all Lunarians, and in a way all of humanity's descendants. Pray for her...

Also, is it bad that I've forgotten who everyone is? Because I honestly have no clue what's going on right now.

And then only 3 are left.

Phos, I feel so sorry for you. I have never in my life felt such pity for a fictional character. I don't even think I can call them phos anymore. His mind is completely damaged from trauma and lunarian influence that there's almost nothing left of the original phos. Phos is now a being warped in anger and revenge, and feels no pity for stepping on their fellow gems, both from the moon and earth. I wonder how phos will react to cinnabar, or if cinnabar even has a chance against phos, with their Mercury powers. Either way, the outcome looks grim.
