They already suffered eternity. When you are eternal that means you can have a lot of time to do things but not a lot of things to do to fill up that infinite time. With how restless humans are it wouldn't take that long to already have completed everything.

Good point. I'd still make advocate to make some sort of reincarnation system for those who just don't want to die, even if they can't stand eternity anymore. Like whipping out their memory and inserting them in an artificial world.

But I guess that's just impossible in this setting, that'd be pretty much like magic.
