I mean, they previously drove a girl to suicide, so...
They literally abused a girl and forced her to commit suicide, yeah, they're pieces of trash
I debated not responding to this and decided not to, but might as well.
Yeah, they're shitheads, and ordinarily I would be on board with them dying, save for the fact that Akari kicked their asses and made them reform. The shit they did is awful and horrid, but I think everyone should be able to change for the better, and why shouldn't I be happy when absolute shitheads choose to be better?
Now if you think that they should need to do more in order to reform, well that's your opinion. I don't think there is such a threshold really, other than the change itself; they'd simply have to accept that not everyone would forgive them. That's my opinion, and you may think differently.

They committed sex crimes, I believe in the redeemability of all people. Sex criminals aren't people, they aren't even animals, they are a stain on this earth to be cleansed and no amount of work they do can bring them back from the line they already crossed.

Actual fascist ideology. That’s how it works. “They aren’t human they aren’t like us so they should die”
These people need to be sent to rehab
Because some people have genuine issues.
I despise made in abyss, but as far as I know, the author hasn’t hurt anyone. They need therapy, not death.

Oh thank God I didn't have to say it myself. Yeah that's a downright fascist way of thinking and I can't believe it. No wait, I can, some people on this site are just like that.
I don't have much to add to what you said, just saying I agree.

Well, it's not really a matter of thinking whether or not they need to do more to reform considering they've done nothing at all, bar one. In fact, they appear to hold no remorse over their horrific actions at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they're yet to even apologise -- even when they begged to trained by her did it not occur to them to maybe apologise.
Only one of them so far seems to be on the path to become a better person, the ringleader, which the story is seemingly trying to make equivalent to the whole group reforming? Idk this whole B-plot is a bit weak in characterisation. The rest of the group are practically treated not as people, but just accessories to the ringleader.
