show me bobs and vegana please? (anyone remember that meme?). Anyway, I do know that it is supposed to be boobs. So I don't mind bobs Word, because I get what it means.

Jesus Christ this pacing, 11 chapters just to have a meeting between the lead characters that most series would of taken care of in the first chapter(and done so with more depth/detail than what was shown here). Its not just the chapters being short on pages, the panels are fucking huge yet very little happens in each of them. This series is going to be infuriating to read... Time to bail.

hmm, most manhua only have 8 pages every chapter, while this one has at least 10 or more.
the main attraction of the series is the art style, so of course, the panels are bigger to show it off...
and the scenes are more fleshed out and detailed instead of glossed over with a few panels, trying to rush the story
as for the story itself, indeed the pace is slower than most series, but I for one think of it as a nice change
instead of having all the characters, the setting and the story explained/shown in the first few chapters (which could be argued to be overdone at this point)
this adds a more realistic sense of mystery to the series

@Asch99 I guess to each their own then...

I don't see exactly whats "detailed" about this series. Stuff like Berserk is what I would call detailed artwork. This is mostly just zooming in on facial expressions. There's not really any detail added in doing this, it just makes everything bigger. It doesn't have the worst/most bare backgrounds I've seen in manhua but they're nothing to write home about - mostly just empty space with light colors and texture.

I don't mind a slow story but you need a hook first(to reuse the same example, I read Berserk. Doesn't get much slower than that.) So far none of the characters have even had a personality established in a dozen chapters beyond "stoic emperor and his loyal guards". But then again I'm not sure what I'm expecting from a manhua, this series doesn't do anything that other popular manhua's haven't done. The martial arts manhua's(specifically the Chinese ones but also applies to a lot of Korean series) seem to bask in being mundane tropish webnovels without aspiring for anything greater. Not that there isn't a metric ton of garbage mangas shoveled out of Japan(heeeeellloooo isekai) but I can think of far more high quality, critically appraised works that fall under the "manga" category while I struggle to name comparable works of art under the "manhua" label.

Seriously, even with shit on her face, you'd really think someone's a beauty? He got some x-ray vision to work through that shit or something?
