I would say why does mangadex allow time delays for scanlations groups especially BNHA Jasmines Box when the official translation comes out usually every week or more and they force us to wait 7 to 14 days for a chapter. Just pirated it from VIZ and put it up on here like every one else does. PS: Don't bring the "Just buy the subscription for the offical" argument. This site is for pirated manga.

This seems a bit odd. What he told them doesn't seem like a secret on the level that it would require making enemies out of them.

As for the delay, I wish I could just hide those chapters. I don't want to know a chapter will be out in x amount of time. I just want to see what I can read.

@Mnuchinboo I don't know the exact rules but if mangadex just pirate official publisher translation this site would not survive long.
All those aggregate sites run a bunch of ads and do not respect translation group at all so if you want degraded experience there in favour of speed no one can stop you. If their site close down they will just open a new one.
Sure you can argue the translator are pirating the manga too but the translation works are 100% their effort.
Still these 2 weeks delay are torturing 😅

@SoloSera I'd be willing to bet it's a slippery slope kinda thing for him; he doesn't want anyone to know of his beast sorcery, which Set is a product of. Sure, he can pass off a few skills as Set being a rare breed, but Set doesn't really operate under the normal rules for monsters and can potentially gain all the skills, which can't be explained in a way that wouldn't make more than a few nations nervous, so it's better for Rei to keep everything close to the vest and not get complacent.

I thought it was a new chapter but I read this a week ago in other site. I won't ever use a site that puts so long of a restriction. 1 or 2 days, even 6 I would go and read it in their site but 14 days is too shitty....they won't get any donation from my part at least champion scans was it? I'm glad I dont read any other manga they have as a project.

@conscript117 rly? never heard of a group that has a 2-week delay. also consider this; @Lymus is the one uploading the chapters, not Champion scans, so it could be that he either didn't have the chance to upload earlier, or he forgot. accounting the fact that Lymus uploads A LOT of chapters in a lot of series, this is a possibility. i also could not find anything that would suggest a 2-week delay is in effect.

I gotta say I really dislike Rei's insistence on the Seed of Caution (in the LN it's called the Seed of Contract, which makes more sense). Also, Elena seemed angrier with him about that demand here than in the LN, which is good, because it's a total fucking dick move. He took the job to protect them and now he's saying "swear an oath to me on your life or I'll leave you to die"? Those aren't the actions of a good person. It's like Superman threatening to kill Jimmy Olsen for knowing his secret that he's also Clark Kent - and being fucking serious about it. Rei did the same shit with that Milena girl or whatever and her whole party - and yet they act all chummy afterward, despite the fact that a slip of the tongue while drunk or under torture could kill them.

@dna423 they have 2-week delays? whoa. still seems unorthodoxly long. in the opinion that 1-2 day delay is more normal and acceptable. really can't see the reason why anyone would even do a week-long delay, much less 2.
