No: Didn't you read the previous chapters? Valjean is accused of stealing the 40 sous from a villager called Petit Gervais. He technically didn't steal from him because he scared him and said to leave him alone! He didn't see the money. But, stupid law gotta be stupid as he reported him. So yeah, Valjean is still being hunted by the police!
Also, since Valjean did his trademark Jackscrew Lift in this chapter, Javert will totally start to have his suspicions!

@LE_MALEM - I'll admit, I didn't notice he got reported for "theft" - considering he got 5 years for a loaf of bread, go figure Javert would jump his... would begin the hunt.

It is not shown in the manga but I assure you from the original novel, that IS the reason he's still being hunted by Javert! I mean you're right! He got 5 years for stealing freaking bread! What do you think would happen if he got reported for 'ACCIDENTAL' petty theft?

If reading novels isn't your forte guys, may I recommend a 52-episode World Masterpiece Theater anime of Les Misérables for you? Very underrated and beautiful with a few liberties here and there too. Just look into it and trust me you won't be disappointed! The full name of the anime is Les Misérables: Shoujo Cosette.
