I'm not sure if it's the script or if something ends up lost in translation or its the way its NOT clear who is saying most of the speech bubbles. But I have been having a fuck of a hard time following this since chapter 1.

But he can't do much cuz he got dragged along in a series of unfortunate misunderstanding anyways...

@SoundSpark but his party and Tino love him and follow him. They've even said they'd quit being adventurers if he left the guild. Surely his party would know he is super weak and not let him go off into dangerous dungeons like where yandere girl met up with him.

Which is why I'm having trouble understanding him

If I have to guess, his main party, the Strange Grief ones, already knew that he is not the strongest. But, they knew that he is a capable leader and someone who can make a good decision (even if it's just him randomly choosing stuff lol).

Remember, a leader isn't the strongest member of a party, but the one who can lead and correctly delegate work to the other members according to their capabilities. This also works out well for these strong members so that they can fully committed to their work and fighting prowess without having to worry about chain of command or decision making. Basically, they could go all out without worries.

Cry = Smart, Lazy, Misunderstands almost everything, Luck lvl MAX EX PLUS, Chuuni level 90, but actually weak.
Cid = Smart, Lazy, Misunderstands almost everything, Luck lvl MAX, Chuuni lvl MAX, but is actually more overpowered than anything else on the planet, combined.
