I feel like despite the fact Theo took absolutely 0 steps to cover tracks and is very obviously less skilled yet pushing to replace. He will succeed by publishing the cheating scandal he caused causing Miguel to leave so Kiss makes a team or the Captain guy has Noah join and they destroy GoD proving that the skill difference is real

That would be really cool... if instead of going back to G.O.D., Polaris overtakes them. I wanna see that now.

Edit: Subtle detail, but when you compare the basketball scene with the scene from chapter 1, Kiss's reaction time is clearly getting faster. Her gaming skills are improving. It also shows how her feelings for Captain are fading, but I think it's both.
