interesting to see so much from the guy's perspective. most stories will have a guy's perspective every once in a blue moon. but here, I feel like I can understand the guy more. I called him scummy and mentally swore at him, and I still do (just to a lesser extent). he totally led Narita on, but Narita is overly gullible honestly. she fell for both guys within the span of a week and had a crisis over them because of their shitty adultery and promiscuity.

what I’ve found since reading yaoi is that when it’s a het love story somehow authors are less likely to make the girl as manipulative or complex as the guy. tbh from the title I thought maybe she’s also fooling Ichikawa.
