I love that there's a whole spectrum of "guys who became gunslingers to get girls":

1. The Mayor (whose name escapes me): "gets" girls because he abuses his power; none of the girls actually like him
2. Quaid: Doesn't get girls because he's bad at gunslinging
3. Evans: Doesn't get girls in spite of being good at gunslinging (someday, though!)
4. Charlie: Drowning in fangirls and even fanboys
