This was actually terrible.

The characters were boring and soulless— not a single one of them was compelling, the games/traps weren't clever (especially the crocodile and lion ones, it's quite literally the EXACT SAME TRAP but with different animals), and the games weren't psychological at all. I mean, they don't always have to be that way, but the point of this genre is to show a situation where peoples morality and strength of character are tested, and nothing like that happens. In fact, every single person in this story gets used to the idea of potentially dying to horrible, torturous death traps concerningly fast.

HOWEVER, that's only a list of the things I could excuse...

The gyaru dying to a "special game" made no sense— she was literally just murdered. The addition of a secondary player (sewed mouth-kun) was never elaborated on, also didn't make sense. Nothing is never explained— I wasn't expecting whole-ass flashbacks or anything, but a reason why they were chosen, or how this game came to be, or why the games are set up like this would've been enough. And lastly, you're telling me they're smart enough to kidnap nine (likely a lot more) people in broad daylight without suspicion, create bomb collars and optical illusion architecture, but can't figure out NOT TO PUT THE MAIN POWER SOURCE TO THE WHOLE DAMN FACILITY RIGHT THERE!? Jesus Christ...

And the worse offender of the bunch?

The main villains motivation. It's literally John Krammer from Saw except the difference is that at least he's consistent. The whole point here was to show people the value of life right? Well, what does she get out of murdering the FML in cold-blood, or trying to get the MC to play again? Was her motivation in the initial games so weak that she abandons "showing them the value of life" just to get revenge against the MC? For what? Blowing up her house? She must've really liked that house, it's not like she's clearly wealthy enough to build another 10 room building with nothing technologically/mechanically advanced in it. Oh wait.

I have a lot more to say about it, but I can't be arsed using any more brain power on it.

1/10 — not the worst thing I've read, since I didn't walk away feeling like complete shit (We can thank Boy's Abyss for that spot XDXD). But I can and will erase this from my memory as soon as I finish this comment.

All that being said, thank you for your hard work translators! Even though I didn't like it, I always appreciate the effort.
