Quite a beautiful oneshot. That man, after what hes done to not only his own wife but also everyone else, deserves whats coming to him. A really great moment when his necklace that he had thought his wifes light that guided him to be the rahing fire that ended him. Started with his wife, ended by his wife. Quite poetic Id say.

I dont like the timeskip. It doesent afftect the story in any case, but it feels lots of good stuffs are missed out, like how the canceled experiment affects humanitys daily life from then on, how Luna tried to search for Mitsumi, why Mitsumi went missing all of sudden, all those small bits even if just a few pages of montages can uplift the emotional attachments to readers more if included.

Still it was a very nice and enjoyable oneshot. I still love the conclusion especially Luna is alive! Thanks so much for the scanlation, OMOIDE scans! And of course Arisama Ako sensei for bringing this lovely one shot story to us!

there's always the chance that the one-shot might be adapted later. in such a case, the timeskip would allow them to spin the story even further.

i also enjoyed this one-shot alot. kinda wish it would get adapted into a series, since both the plot and the art, and even (though short lived as a one-shot is) the character development. it was definetly a good read.

I do think that Mitsumi's "disappearance" Is to hide the fact he was the lead researcher's son to avoid further backlash for his own safety.
