Lovely, sure it's considered rape as it is against her will but if u look past that and continue to read on you will find your self forgiving that horrid scene and move on with the story. Just because the series showed something distasteful in that one chapter doesn't mean that's how the series will be.

Ir would have been considered rape today since she had no control but this isn't by today's standards. If you would read the first chapter it would be clear that sexual assault against women of lower classes was common. While this was tape she got something out of it. Not saying it was by any means acceptable but she had some semblance of a choice. Choosing to live or die.
