The whole time, the old man's eldest son keeps saying "I really hate that my father is doing something so embarrassing. People could be pointing fingers at him."
In reality, HE is embarrassed and HE doesn't want people pointing fingers at HIM, not just the old man. The old man's son is so selfish that he is willing to tell his own father that he shouldn't pursue his dreams because he'll embarrass the whole family. Note, the old man sacrificed his life for his family. The moment he brings up his own dream, his eldest son decides that his own father has no say in what he wants to do with his life.
His own son is telling him to just be a "normal" old man and waste away while gawking at the newspaper and waiting on his children to come around every once in a while. Who would want to live a life like that? Some people, but not all.
It's really sad and infuriating. I literally feel like my head's going to explode every time the son opens his mouth to spew bs like that.

sorry. rant over (; ̄д ̄)
