His account really sticks out among the others she's following. He cares more about that manga's creator than its topic.

I have a question: is this a Shoujo manga, and yes, I'm being serious since most of the Shoujo manga I've read in the past have similar eye designs.
A lot of manga artists whose styles or whose major previous work were shojo are jumping into Shonen and Seinen work because it's where the money is currently. One big hit is enough money to last a lifetime.

Even if there are still certain styles that can be pinpointed to a certain demographic, the labes just point to that, a demographic. And that depends on the magazine they are published on.

There is no hard rule saying that a shojo has to have more fine features and drawing or certain themes. Of course things tend to be made to cater to those demographics, but for example the Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? or Only I Know mangas have a style that at first glance one would say they look shojo or josei but those are seinen mangas.

I guess, for example, I thought Machida-kun no Sekai was a Seinen or a Shonen, but it turns out it's a Shoujo, which I was surprised by

Not enough pages! This is such a sweet manga. I love how innocent they both are. But sheesh it practically feels like rage-bait how they just keep getting in their own way. I know it's a slow build but man, I just want them to tell each other how they feel about each other!

Friendship lore. I'm here for it.

Thanks for the tl

Also if she only just now saw the drawing then why was she making eye contact with him before 👀

My guess is maybe she saw him drawing or reading a manga, and was looking for an opportunity to geek out on some otaku-talk.
