This is Riki Nanami's first (as far as I'm aware) non-BL series, if you couldn't tell from the swooningly handsome men; refreshingly, perhaps, for most "reverse harem" series, they're not only all potentially evil murderers but almost all grown adults, thus probably reducing the chance of any romance with Akane. With that said, I don't think that's the point of this series at all, which is predominantly about traumatic backstories and the mystery of what happened to Akira. I like the richness of Nanami's art, even if she indulges in manga cliches a little more often than I'd prefer to set up her stories.
