@evilboop from what I read in articles on marriage, minimum age for men is 18 while for women its 16.
But for minors (age 20 below), parental consent is needed.

Sexual acts is a different topic. There is a myth that the age of consent in japan is 13 BUT the child welfare act prohibits anyone from any sexual acts on children (defined as anyone under 20 years of age).
