It just feels so strange to me how a character who is portrayed as a good listener (evidently an over thinker as well) lacks the self awareness to realize that he is the one getting taken advantage of, regardless of the other party's knowledge in the matter. Especially at his age, being used as an emotional baggage dump is not good for his mental health and I think Xiao Zhen makes a good point asking, "Are you expecting something to be reciprocated back?" because listening to other people's pain is tiring, and unless you want something back from them, you should really either be setting boundaries or cutting that person out of your life.
