So, based on the comments in one of the raw chapter. Government officials were also concern with the MC's situation. While they speculating that if the MC was able to climb all the way back, he will bring back super high level loots that never seen before. But they were also concern that if he actually came back, he will be too powerful to handle. But they also wasn't too worried because the MC had a rather goofy personality. Their best hope was for the MC to die along the way and not actually came back. This is a paraphrase of the comment that I saw. So I can't vouch for the accuracy.
