The mc's lack of emotion and his obsession with the "lucky boy" calling name are just irritating to read. Also the logic with them not prioritizing amy's release from the cell and not doing anything with the guild leaders influence is just idiotic. She could prob release information with/within the guild itself, and start clearing things that way.
This is just fucking retarded with them focusing doing all the wrong things and in wrong order.

Like, what the hell man, the fact that the guild leader of all people quit the position to be in your party only supports the rumor of you being a blackmailer since guild leaders should have way more important shit to do.

That's what the vice guild leader is for. Kamiyu already has explained that it would be very difficult because the Solit company has about as much influence as they do. It's probably only a matter of time, but what are they gonna do? Sit around and wait?

well its a fantasy world so it would depend on if they have some magical truth do-hickey (which magical fantasy world doesnt)
if they do its quite easy since full on lies are actualy easy to handle as long as you have evidence and enough motivation

first step make it guild business by thanking the newspaper
second step launch your own investigation in an impartial and unquestionable way (insert do-hickey)
third step publish the results by flooding just about everywhere (with do-hickey evidence)
fourth admonish the newspaper and apologize for any trouble the guild caused during the investigation
fifth ban the newspaper and put everyone releated to it on probation pending a very slow ehm i mean thorough investigation
sixth step wait for the newspaper to crumble and come begging at your door

because in the conflict between livelyhood and journalism the later will loose

disadvantage would be that they wouldn't have to be as full on about the apology to the mc since he has no status worthy to speak of

it is possible but then it wouldnt be an adventure type story or the mc wouldnt be our healer but someone from the guild
and since our mc's options are limited you are quite right i just wanted to point out that if they have actual evidence the guild actualy could have dealt with it
then again that wouldnt have made for a very good adventure isekai story
