This style seems to be more "serious". I can't imagine them capturing the same humor through the faces with this. The other is more simple so it's easier to be exaggerated and thereby, create humor through their body expressions. I haven't read the novel so I cannot tell which probably would've done the series justice more, but I like the style being used now purely because of its hilarity.

@darekpawlo this was when it was a promotional webtoon for the novel. The art has not changed.

This group is scanlating promos from what I've seen, most of which have a established webtoon series which I think is pretty cool to see what they've were before they got picked up by publishers. Makes me wonder if Raeliana had one.

Ohh so this is the promotional one.... I like the other art style better tbh. All the characters look soo beautiful there and it's really different to the typical manhwas

Too bad they changed the art style for the serialized ver. All those bright colors hurt my eyes.

I love the manhwa's art style because the faces are so memeable which makes the story even more hilarious, but I also like this promo art because the body anatomy are more realistic.

I like the current one because alicia seems more badass there! Thank you for giving us a glimpse of their past promo :D

Wow, Alicia gives off a completely different vibe to me in this promo. I guess art really can change your impression of a character.

Definitely prefer the serialized version's art more. It's suits the comedy aspect way better.

Also, Alicia is way prettier in the serialized version, imo.

Also, Alicia looks waaaaaaaaay too much like Rashta from "Remarried Empress", especially in the last bit of artwork. (Rashta is fondly referred to as "Trashta" by most readers/commenters, just FYI.

Anyway. Half of why I really enjoy reading this story is because of the art style it has, so I'm glad it wasn't like this promo. I mean, I can imagine the scene (in this promo's art style) where Alicia curses up a storm in several different languages after realizing that the full-blood princess tried to humiliate her at that party...but I really think the scene would lose so much compared to what we got. Which was downright fricking funny.
And Alicia's crazy interactions with her little brother would lose half their humor with a "serious" art form.

Yeah...I convinced myself again. I'm glad with what we got. Nice to see the promo, but I'll keep the series, thanks. 😄
