Well, unfortunately it's gonna be a hurry up and wait situation. The volume ends at 16 (.5) and I don't have chapters 17 or 18. Raws are only up to 19 anyway so it's not like we're mega far behind. Still, if anyone has 17 and 18 somehow... please let me know.

Age of Consent varies betwee 16 and 18 in various parts of Japan. They might very well live in an area where it is 18.

Besides 80% of that reasoning probably came from being scared AF of her gramps.

Specifically, he brings up adulthood as part of his reasoning, which is 18 in Japan (was formerly 20 I think?).

To me, it seemed that he leaned on the adulthood angle to dissuade her from properly consummating their relationship than rather from a age of consent angle (which she may be clueless of) or whatever ninja laws there are concerning marriage.
