in the novel the potion turns you into a litteral hulk.
if you drink a full potion you get green skin ( for like a week ) but you get permanently the power of a 1 star warrior without using magic or warrior energy.
it also boosts the growth rate by a fair bit as well.
and while im not sure it was confirmed it may or may not be addictive / have small mind controlling properties as everyone who drinks it does pretty much anything to get more.

As someone who read the novel. Seeing all the male side characters showing up as females, throws me off....especially since the name have not changed.
