Its not so much that he forgot about it......
He dont actually know that the church is hunting necromancers yet and was planning to use the necromancer corpse explosion all along to win the fight.
He only finds that out later on, the manga gives us alot of info that he only find out a bit later on in the novel this way.
The rogues reasons for wanting him around is another example of this. ( his ability to find magic items from corpses)
Thought it should have come up in like the next 2-3 chapters anyway it was still a bit earlier than it was in the novel.
We should learn of the church in the next like.... 10-20 ? chapters, it's pretty much just after the war ends.
He only finds that out later on, the manga gives us alot of info that he only find out a bit later on in the novel this way.

He avoids summoning skellys but there are a few people who finds out there was a necromancer at the battle anyway.
Lucky for him the traces of dark magic on himself disappears when he swaps classes so they cant track it to him and thinks it was the guy on the other side at first.
Usually using necromancy( dark magic ) leaves traces of it in your body witch can be detected by light magic users ( paladins/priests )
This does however scare the shit out of the church becouse they think there is a walking cataclysm level nercromancer on the loose as his necromancer can use a higher tier of "dark magic".
Undeads like zombies( flesh golems) can become world ending events if they go out off controll witch actually happens at the end of the story where somebody starts a zombie apocalypse.
His classes are fundamentally different from the normal worlds magic in a few ways, But that dont become really important until later on.
Two of the biggest points is that his Paladin who uses light magic can use the strongest version of light magic( golden holy light ) where most priest would be over the moon if they could use as that makes them "gods choosen"
This lets him fake being a high tier person from the church witch is a great status symbol early on for him.
And his necromancer is also limited in how many skeletons he can summon( witch was why he never did it here )
But it can use raw death magic witch just like the paladin is a superior version of "dark magic"
This means his skeletons is leagues stronger than normal once, and skeleton mages is just a scary bed time story for most as its only possible to do with raw death magic and not not dark magic.
Because the church hunted dark magic users close to extinction for semi legit reasons nobody knows how to actually use death magic anymore.
The third most important change is one we have actually seen already.
His barbarian class dont use the same type of "star power" as normal fighters witch confuses the heck out of some people.
This never gets super important for the plot but is something that makes people realize he is a bit special.

hehe yeah he is pretty crazy in more ways then one.
But he is BY FAR the lesser evil compared to everything else however.
he would be something along the line of lawful neutral unlike the rest of the world who is lawful evil. ( he is a bit.... well evil, to be actually lawful good)
the world runs by the law of the jungle AKA the strong does whatever they want.
MC actually cares for his subjects unlike 95 % of the rest of the world.

As for his current powers, it lets him swap between being like 7 different people, which in itself isn't all that amazing if it wasn't for the fact he can power up so much faster then everyone else.
For most people getting the power of what would be 10 levels would take years. he can do that in a few days.
Ofc all 7 of the classes have pretty insane powers....
Outside of the amazon who is useless trash and he only ever uses it like twice in the entire story unlike pretty much every other class who have at least one full arc to shine at full power.
The only reason it is good for anything is the surprise factor as everyone thinks bowman's are weak.
This is becouse after you hit "moon level" people starts being able to pluck arrows out of mid air and an army of weaklings got nothing on a single strong person.
His power can do more then just becoming a diablo 2 character ( a example of this is his ability to bring with him health potions outside of the "game world")
