Looking for a manga (Yep, another one of those threads)

The main character is a dead schoolgirl. After death people spend some time as ghosts waiting to ascend, become buddhas, or be reborn or something like that. Most ghosts will just pick a roof and sit there, and as they come close to ascension they enter a meditative state. There's this hikikomori ghost who's become basically an evil spirit, this big black blob, stuck in his room. At the end of the manga

the mc begins to ascend, but somehow uses her accumulated power (?) to purify him, making him a normal ghost again.

It's pretty old now and I don't remember a lot of details, unfortunately... I've spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find it on several occasions, so I thought I'd just up and ask.

You know, I think that's actually it! It's different from how I remember it, but that black ghost is hard to mistake. Just as well though, all the more reason to re-read it.
